The Green Company is a Massachusetts-based builder and developer that creates, designs, and builds award winning residential communities, primarily oriented towards empty nesters. Builder Magazine, Professional Builder Magazine, and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) have recognized The Green Company with 12 Builder’s Choice Design awards 13 Best in American Living (BALA) awards, and more than 37 National Sales and Marketing awards. More recently the Green Company won the 2007 and 2006 NRS Customer Satisfaction Diamond Award for highest customer satisfaction in the country and is reportedly the first builder ever to win the combination of America’s Best Builder award three times (1982, 2000, and 2007) The Lee Evans Award for Business Management two times (2001& 2007) and Professional Builder’s and The NAHB’s National Housing Quality award silver medal (1999). The Green Company has also been recognized by Builder Magazine as one of Eight Great Companies to Work For, by the National Arbor Day Foundation and NAHB for the 2002 Building with Trees Award, and by NRS and Professional Builder Magazine for the 2003 and 2005 Homeowner Satisfaction Award as best in the nation for customer satisfaction in the category of 50-99 homes built per year.

MEET THE LEADERS

Mr. Green, a third generation builder, is on the Board of Directors of The Newton Conservators, a local non profit charged with promoting the preservation of open space and environmentally sensitive areas in the City of Newton, MA. He also sits on the City of Newton Conservation Commission and Community Preservation Commission. He is on the Board of Directors for the national Green Building Initiative (GBI) helping to create green building programs around the country and is a founder of Build Green Massachusetts, a green building program designed specifically for the New England region. He is active in The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) having held many appointed positions on The Business Management & Information Technology Committee, The National Council of the Housing Industry (NCHI) and The National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) from 1998 to the present. Mr. Green is also a past President of his local HBA, the Builders Association of Greater Boston.
