Home Sales See An Unexpected Jump

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), new home sale agreements made an unexpected jump in the month of February – the biggest single monthly rise since October 2001. Economists had expected a 1% decrease, but according to a CNNMoney article, pending home sales saw an astounding 8.2% jump. This number is also a 17% improvement over February of last year, which could once again be potentially attributed to the federal government’s homebuyer tax credit.
