Boston Developer’s Mega-Ambitious Makeover Plan Pushes On

Boston developer Donald Chiofaro’s proposal to transform what is now the Rose Kennedy Greenway into waterfront plaza with two skyscrapers continues to push on, this time with yet another addition to the controversial concept. In Chiofaro’s latest vision, the current IMAX theater at the aquarium would be altered into a grandiose atrium at the base of the tower complex, according to the Globe. Chiofaro continues to push the bold renovation to Mayor Menino, who opposes the idea, in what has become a public and ongoing debate of near rancor over the topic.
