In The Works: Major Back Bay Park Renovation

Plans are currently in the works to add a grand entrance to the Southwest Corridor Park in Boston’s Back Bay. Develop Simon Property Group is discussing the idea of building a striking glass gateway or public art display at the entrance of the park, which is one of Boston’s largest public spaces.The area is situated along Dartmouth Street and runs nearly 5 miles from the Back Bay to Jamaica Plain. According to the Boston Globe article, the exact nature of the gateway has yet to be decided, but Simon Property is already seeking feedback from the city and neighbors for the $500 million project.
