In an a handy article put together by CNNMoney, the top five renovations as ranked by Remodeling Magazine are laid out. First on the list is putting in a new steel entry door. According to the article, the cost of the job is approximately $1,218 but will add a value of $1,243 to the house, which is a 102% cost recoupment. Next on the list is a garage door replacement, which the article says costs about $1,291. The value added here is $1,083 which is an 84% cost recoupment.
